Green Meadow has been proudly serving the Mid-Ohio Valley area since 1976. We treat animals both small and large, and we treat them at our office as well as where you live. We are passionate about providing a state of the art, first class veterinary experience for you and your animals. We value educating our customers and communicating openly regarding their pet's care.
We recognize the special role your pet plays in your family, and that's just part of the reason we treat your pets as if they were our own.
By maintaining a large, well trained staff, we're able to give your animal the attention they need when they need it. We understand the urgency involved when an animal needs treatment, and that urgency provides a level of service our customers have come to know and love.
Emergencies are one of the primary calls we receive. The emotions that comes along with the need for urgent care are something we understand and take personally. You can be sure we'll respond immediately, whether it's life saving treatment or something that can be resolved over the phone. We provide continued care for critical patients with our experienced, highly trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
A trip to the vet's office can be a traumatic and stressful experience for you and your animal. At Green Meadow, we try to make your pet's experience a great one so that they're excited to come for a visit, and no longer view the vet's office as a scary place. We've created an environment that you and your pet will be comfortable in.
For the past eight-plus years, Dr. Smith and Dr. Spindler have provided the medical care for my diabetic cats, Doc. The doctors educated me over the years about his disease, new findings regarding treatment and about any changes Doc had in his condition. This type of educational experience is not always provided by other veterinarians.
I have used their boarding services, which was extremely important for my special needs cat and my peace of mind. Doc was insulin dependent for more than half of his 15 years of life. The doctors and the staff provided a support system that was extremely important when you have an animal with such a disease for so many years.
When the end came the doctors were kind and gentle in Doc’s last minutes of life. The compassion from them and their staff is truly appreciated.

We have been clients of Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital since “1985”, when we got our first pair of Belgian Geldings. Since then we have always felt like we were the only client that mattered. If it was after hours or wee hours in the morning when a Mare had her foal, Dr. Spindler was always there to make sure mother and baby where fine. The office staff couldn’t be more efficient, ready and willing to help with paper work needed for shows or sales and scheduling appointments. Thank you, for taking such good care of our horses and always being there when we need you.
