My name is Andrea. I have been a Veterinary Assistant at Green Meadow since 2012. I have an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. I am currently preparing to take my board exam so I can become a licensed technician.
I am a very active person. I enjoy fitness, being outside, hunting, fishing, and spending time with my dogs.
I love my job, because animals are things that challenge all of us in the veterinary field. They can not speak to us and tell us what is wrong. We must see the different symptoms, and the doctors will know where to start. Every day is different, so there really isn’t a description of what I do. Simply said – whatever I am asked to do and more. However, if I had to break it down, it would include: receptionist, nurse, anesthesiologist, surgical assistant, phlebotomist, lab technician, radiographer, infection control officer, paramedic, administrator, counselor, nutritionist, teacher, friend, cuddle buddy, nail trimmer, butt cleaner, instrument scrubber, poop scooper, floor mopper, and a late night shoulder to lean on when times are ruff!
