Dr. Schott was born and raised in Waterford, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Findlay duel majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology and minoring in Chemistry. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at St. George’s University. Dr. Schott completed her clinical year training at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). She enjoys working with all species, but especially enjoys working with food animals.
Dr. Schott started working at Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital after her first year of college. She started off working in the kennel, and later started working as a veterinary assistant. She continued to work during her summer and winter breaks throughout college. She did an externship at Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital as a veterinary student in the fall of 2015. Dr. Schott comments, “It has been a blessing to be part of the Green Meadow family, and I am so thankful to Dr. Smith and Dr. Spindler for being such great mentors. The employees at Green Meadow have become like family to me, and it is a great feeling to come back to the clinic where it all started.”
Dr. Schott is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, American Association for Bovine Practitioners, and Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her pets a Siamese/Tortoise Shell cat named Lucy, a black lab mix named Brady, and a beagle mix named Nashville. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, skiing, and listening to live music.
